UK POLICE   2008

 

As well as the traditional method of advertising, the South Yorkshire Casualty Reduction Partnership is using Bluetooth mobile phone messaging to send messages directly to targeted areas across the county.

 

Cumbria police  also used innovative Bluetooth messaging technology to send a "Think! Don't Drink and Drive" message to mobile phones in pubs, clubs and restaurants without reaching phones in vehicles

 

Northumbria police ran a firework safety campaign, also delivered on mobile via bluetooth.

 

 

 

Microsoft   Nov, 2008

 

Microsoft ran a bluetooth proximity marketing campaign over a period of nine weeks (including the Xmas period) in which they distributed multimedia content from five recent Microsoft games, through a mobile application.

XBox 360 has delivered 1.9m unique downloads to mobile phones via a Bluetooth marketing campaign.

 

 

Gilette   February, 2009


Gilette is currently running a mobile marketing campaign in London, in 10 busy train stations and some Superdrug stores (a big retail brand in the U.K. for health and cosmetics products), with the aim of promoting its newest razor product, the Gilette Fusion Power Phenom.

T-Mobile   March, 2009 

T-Mobile is trialling the use of Bluetooth as part of a campaign to encourage more people into its stores with promotional offers. The scheme, which is being piloted at six stores across the country, prompts passers by to enable Bluetooth on their mobile phones to receive T-Mobile offers and deals.
